What to do after Coronavirus cancelled internship opportunities?

I am currently a UK student in 2nd year of University. Had two summer internship opportunities lined up at smaller firms that have recently been cancelled due to the Coronavirus and them not being ready to run a fully virtual program. I wasn't expecting this and was wondering if any other prospective monkeys are in the same boat and what do you guys plan on doing to ensure your summer is not completely wasted. Seeing as recruiting is now completely over, I feel like mastering the skills needed for FT IB analyst roles is be the best option, but would love to hear what you guys think.
