So Let me tell you about graphic design in an easy way, well don’t worry about it, It is as simple as it sounds, Graphic design is not just about learning a tool or software. graphic design means visually convey a message by using graphic elements. it is your imagination and ideas which come alive on a piece of paper or any surface is called graphic design.
In graphic design, there are two separate things. One thing is Graphic and another thing is Design.
First, we will understand about graphics:-
Graphics:- Graphic Is visual, which is associated with art, imagination, and expression using many different mediums such as drawing painting engraving or lettering gave clear and explicit details. So the graphics part of graphic design is made up of visual elements, the building blocks of design.
Elements which is important to make graphic design are the following:-
- Strategy
- Line
- Texture
- Colour
- Shape
- Space
- Form
- Typography
we use these visual elements and arrange that on a surface in a layout to deliver or present our thought through our artistic imagination.
Design:- A design is something which you see before something is made so that you can visualize how it will look and function. It will give you an overview of anything which you about to make before making it. some of the skills you need to consider is thinking, problem-solving and practicality theory.
There are some rules as well, which you can consider in graphic design. which is “The Principle of Design” These are the main principles which an artist uses to create a well-designed artwork. These principles make the design in “graphic design”.

- Alignment
- Balance
- Proximity
- Repetition
- Simplicity
- Function
After combining both the visual elements and the design principles together we have the graphic design.
As we all know that the origin of graphic design exist since the existence of human, from the caves of Lascaux to any metro city of today’s world you can see the graphic design is everywhere around you. but the term GRAPHIC DESIGN first conceived by William Addison Wiggins in 1992. Over a time ago you could only do these things using a pencil or a paintbrush on paper. Today it’s all about new things and technology. Today we also have cameras, computer, and printers. Graphics design has been used to communicate and convey a message worldwide.
