Brand Management at P&G or Marketing at Google?

Hi everyone,

I'm a student in my final year at university and I have a 10 week internship offer for Brand Management at Procter and Gamble, and a 10 week internship at Google. I desperately need help choosing.

I am planning on applying to strategy consulting firms after the internship, as I want to go to Business School in a few years (and can get sponsorship) - so which would be the best to do for a strategy consulting app and an MBA app?

Important considerations: 1. Most interns at P&G can convert their offer into a full time job 2. It is less common for people to convert their internship into full time at Google.

Really appreciate any input anyone may have.

Google. Hands down.

P&G is fine if you want to be in a more industrial vertical in general, but if your main goal is to get into strategy consulting then it would be best to get the Google name brand on your resume. Especially if you can work on some interesting projects the experience will be worth the risk of not converting it.

The best part is with Google, the minute you get that Brand Management with that kind of tech company, you'll be able to apply to several great opportunities at the rest (Twitter, Facebook, Quora, and every startup out there).

That's what I would do in your spot.
