Buying a FedEx Ground Route
Anyone have any personal experience owning or operating a FedEx ground route? i've been looking into this and the margins seem pretty attractive. thinking about buying a few established routes.
I've never heard of buying a FedEx route, didn't even realize that was able to be done. I would be interested in hearing more about it though.

There are online communities for people buying businesses, starting franchises, etc. Those may be a good place to start. Once you have more information we probably could have some interesting discussion here though.

The margins are attractive and these routes can be sold as assets (could be useful in searching for financing from the bank). The key is this: do you have any logistics experience? It also can be quite a hefty upfront expenditure for equipment.
