Corporate finance -- Marketing
Hello all,
Sort of a first time poster, long time reader.
Had a question regarding marketing. No, not the conventional kind. I'm currently a student at a major oil and gas firm. After reading their org chart, it seems they have a student position within their treasury department, specifically in the marketing division. What kind of job would this entail? I tried to get a sense of what it might be according to their website, but it wasn't too clear. I was able to tell a bit from suncor's marketing division, but I just wanted to post here and see if anyone has experience working in marketing, or knows a bit more.
Thanks
"treasury department" + "marketing" = interesting combination.
I found this on Google : http://www.citigroup.com/uae/gcib/try_marktg.htm
But, I can't see a company marketing their treasury group services unless the treasury analysts provide consulting to other companies on the best practices they use. Honestly, I would contact the manager in the group and ask him/her.

im thinking that because the oil and gas im working at is quite similar to suncor, that this is what the marketing division does. im trying to find more information on it, thats why i came to this site.
bump...anyone work in this kind of department?
