Entrepreneur First Program

Does anyone have experience with the entrepreneur first program? A friend of mine is thinking about joining and I would like to help him out making an informed decision.

You can see the program for yourself under the following link: http://entrepreneurfirst.org.uk/?/homepage

Apparently, they help graduates find a good team and then launch a venture. The issue that I see with this is that they want you to bootstrap the start-up until you start raising investor money almost 6 months later. Given that the program takes place in London, I was especially wondering how feasible this is for someone who just graduated? London is extremely expensive and not being paid for almost 6 months (best case scenario) is almost impossible, no?

I agree with you. I also got the second round (interview) of the programme but I'm financially dubious about whether I'll be able to pay living in London for that period. If I get through, what I plan to do is save at least couple grant from work before the programme and potentially get a student loan from Startup loans which eventually can help me live through the fist few months. I'll also try to get freelance work during that period.

London is the best technological place in Europe and definitely the best place to start and develop a career in entrepreneurship. I think it's worth the financial difficulties. I also think wherever you try a career in entrepreneurship there will be ups and downs in financial terms and sometimes you'll have to struggle.
