FDIC Hiring
When the banking industry shits a brick that stinks up the entire country, and with no feasible end in sight, someone's got to come in and clean up the mess. So, in this economy where hundreds of thousands are facing endless lines at the unemployment office, a new job opportunity crops up.
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation announced plans to hire 125 new workers over the next several months, and possibly up to 500-600 over the next year. The hiring boom is in anticipation of more bank failures in the near future.
The FDIC recently leased a building in CA where the new jobs will be based from. Anyone up for some sunshine and surfing? Just don't forget to bring your shovel.
I talked to the chief economist for the southeast branch of the FDIC about a 2 year program working for them in ATL about 2 weeks ago. Minimum GPA requirement of 3.7 i think, and you don't make much.
What are the salaries?
3.7 for a government job? Wow, stricter then BBs.
Ya the government set the bar high this time.
