federal reserve boston and big 4 consulting
HI guys, I would love to hear your thoughts on the prestige and MBA placement of these two different routes. Which one would give me a higher change of doing a good MBA and then go for MBB, trading or buyside role later? Thanks a lot
Which Big 4? Deloitte S&O or PWC>Fed, what roles?
Im currently Big 4 consulting Boston so PM me if you got questions but I would agree with above
So only Deloitte and PwC are better than Fed? and Fed is better the other 2 firms?
Not so sure I agree with the above. Federal reserve boston will set you apart from the numerous other big 4 types, provided that you do good work, strong gmat, and make a compelling case for why an MBA. And with Fed+top MBA, that sets you up nicely for trading and macro hedge funds, albeit almost no macro funds actively recruit at top b-schools except bridgewater.
It's all very role dependent, without more detail no one can say.
For Big 4 consulting, it's financial services advisory and Fed it's research assistant. I was unable to search for much information regarding the Fed.
It's a tough one, I would ask you which do you prefer? Is the Fed Research Macro oriented?
