Get up to speed on Media & Entertainment?

Want to a pick a sector to get started on, I really like Media.

Does anyone have any recommendations for reading materials or other media? In particular, I’m looking to understand (i) the history of the industry and (ii) the current outlook.

I’m particularly focused on learning about the biggest players, their technology/products, competitive dynamics in the market, etc.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Copied the body from another post but basically hoping for the same kind of resources but for the media and entertainment sector.
