Goal: Generate $2k/month

Monkeys,

This isn't necessarily directly connected to finance, but it may still lead to a fruitful discussion nonetheless. If you're goal was to make $2k/month what would you do? Let's say you only have 4-5 hours per day to work on this idea and you have a minimal amount of capital (10k). Looking forward to seeing what people come up with.

If you live near a casino could play poker and try to make the money with a 25/hr rate at 80 hours a month. Very doable if your any good at 1/2 or 2/5NL.

What are your more interesting ideas? To give some more details, I currently have roughly 4 hours of free time a day and I'd like to spend it working on something that will ultimately yield me passive, supplemental income. The four hours is spread out throughout the day, not in a single block of time. The $2k/month is completely arbitrary. I picked it because it seems like a realistic target.

None of my ideas are "passive" income and would be pretty hands-on for those 4 hours a day.

I'd probably set up an online store. I used to sell quite a bit of stuff online and it's how I supplemented my income during college. I'd shop at TJ Maxx/Nordstrom Rack/Last Call, etc. for a few hours, photograph items, list on eBay - I could easily sell a good enough deal for 4-5x what I paid. I'm a pretty good bargain hunter and relatively on the pulse of fashion which helped. If I could do it again and had $10k cash I would also pursue relationships with brands to be an online liquidator if I gave it another go 'round.

Probably not quite what you are looking for, but it's what I would do.

Niche Youtube channel, click bait website (ad rev), freelance CS projects on the tech side. It'd probably be more worthwhile to work on whatever you want your career to be, so that you can increase your earnings potential there. That'll make you significantly more than 2k/month extra.

Also, 4-5 hours a day for 30 days a month is 120-150 hours -- you could make your $2k working a job that pays $15/hour.
