I just got an internship offer with Merrill Lynch Private Banking and Investment Group. I wanted to people's opinions on Private Banking as a career as compared to it's Wealth Management counterpart.

i think he is asking the difference between PWM and private banking.
i always understood them to be the same, but i could be wrong
I know PB deals with ultra high net worth clients and their investment strategies are more conservative... but that's about it. I was asking more about prestige/reputation, exit opportunities, range of salary from entry level to experienced, lifestyle, ect...
Assuming the senior people are reasonable and you're good at sales, it's a great career. High money potential and phenomenal lifestyle potential (if you're good).
