Multi Asset vs Fixed Income - Pls advice
Hello everyone - hope all is fine!
I was asked to choose between a multi-asset grad position and a fixed income position for a well-known investment management company. The thing is I can not choose between both and I am seeking experience returns from you guys in terms of work-life balance, hours, exit opps,
I come from a non-finance background (Business & Management) and had quick exposure to finance through internships (Currency regulation and asset management) and I don't come from a target school/uni - I am fighting in the British market.
Looking forward to getting inspired by your stories guys.
IMO fixed income is likely to give you a more well-defined skillset (credit research, financial statement analysis, etc.) vs. multi-asset as macro research (assume that is what you would be doing in multi-asset) can vary between heavily quantitative to more qualitative work
Thanks a lot! I deeply appreciate it!
