Our Father Who Art in the Unemployment Line....

The Church of England has just released a new prayer, in response to the growing number of unemployed folks there. It's called the "Prayer on Being Made Redundant". Not to be forgotten, of course, are the lucky few who remain employed. To help them deal with the stress and guilt over their coworkers losing their jobs, the Church also released "Prayer For Those Remaining In The Workplace."

Ok, not to be sacrilegious, but they're actually making up mantras and prayers about the economy now? Well, who knows. Maybe devine intervention is what we need to save us from this horror show. I heard here in the States they're working on naming Madoff the patron saint of douchebags.

Amen.

Give us this day, our daily severance?

pretty good! It would be more funny if it was not so true, but still pretty good.
