Happens in CF during quarter close and year end, the hours ... not the dying.

smitty and missingno SHUT THE FUCK UP. have you no shame? someone dies and the first thing you do is laugh and make fun of their bonus.
very sad stuff, rest in peace. but i'd think the 120 hours during peak hours is more of a Chinese phenomenom..hear it's more like 80 hours for audit season. i'd also imagine that there were other health or risk factors involved, not just the overwork.
Agreed with the above. Yes, compassion, it's an emotion. Have you ever heard of it?
I think if someone is trying to push 120 a week, they are extensively inefficient. I do feel sad for this girl because she seems like a smart person, but I don't think anyone has ever signed up to die, especially in audit.
PwC does work people hard, but its PwC.. top Big4, people choose their own fate.
If I was told that someone died from work in China, I would not have guessed it to be an audit employee of PWC.
CICC had an analyst die over the summer as well.
I have friends working in BB HK or China and I always hear about 100-120 weeks. Not saying this isn't a tragedy - it most definitely is - but 120 weeks is far from an one off case in Asia.
To the guys whining about compassion, this is an internet forum, learn to deal.

Article said she had meningitis......didn't Jim Henson die of that as well?
My girls dad works in Audit and even as a big 4 version of a BSD, he gets a hotel room in the city so that he can stay at the office later. They crank out the hours.
it doesnt make sense to me why they wouldnt just hire some additional people and cut down the hours, I blame this on HR of course. Human resources my ass more like slave labor.. who the hell would wanna work 120 hrs? i would rather take a pay cut and do 70 or 80
