Trading house partner pay

I work in commods but just saw a rival trader whos a partner at one of the big shops just donate an absurd sum to his alum, and clearly broke my estimate of how much these guys were making. Anyone have any clues on their payouts?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, partners at major trading houses like Vitol, Glencore, or Trafigura can earn staggering payouts, especially if they are senior and have equity stakes in the firm. Long-term earnings for top performers at private firms can reach into the millions annually. These payouts are often tied to the firm's profitability and the individual's contribution to the P&L.

Additionally, the IPO of firms like Glencore created massive windfalls for senior partners, though such events are rare. Living in low-tax jurisdictions like Switzerland or Singapore can further amplify their take-home pay, enabling them to maintain an incredible lifestyle.
