BC Partners fighting with own portco?

FT just posted an article today about United Partners (BC Portco) fighting against BC Partners as the founder and a c-level were recently fired.

Apparently more than 14 execs have signed a letter saying they want the founder + c-level back and think the company is run poorly by BC due to introducing too many external „consultants“.

Anyone got tea on this? I‘m not surprised by the external consultants bit as I have seen several good businesses being negatively impacted by PEs thinking they need to make huge changes to a perfectly fine running business… but surely there is more to the matter.
