I am an Analyst at a hard asset PE shop (think real estate / industrials) and I have a few recruiter calls coming up. I am interested in changing to a different industry in PE (think software/consumer goods, etc). Most recruiters who are reaching out are from the industry I work in. Should I tell the recruiter I talk with that I am looking to move to a different vertical? Or how do I deal with this situation?
