Clothing for PE

Hi everyone. Hope all is well. I will be starting as an analyst at a large PE firm. What shoes would you recommend and what general office clothing?

I will be going for a smart casual look, and am wondering if there are any brands that you guys could recommend that are high quality and affordable?

Here at least it's mostly shirts with woolen pullovers, slacks, boat shoes or sneakers. Sort of preppy and relaxed, and still professional. To be fair, it's difficult to not come across as professional with a Calatrava at your wrist...
