Europe?  Energy Transition?  Very good at lighting money on fire if you're into that!

 

Well a blanket statement amidst a topic that is very nuanced, but Europe's "transition" away from fossil fuels as been an irresponsible, unmitigated disaster.  Germany is at the forefront.  And big European firms have lost a lot of money (think BP, Shell, etc) chasing this theme (in fact, BP has about faced back to oil & gas - they were the poster child).  Lots of other Euro companies losing money hand over fist (think offshore wind developers).  I can't even imagine the dumb things PE money has done in Europe with this theme.
