exit opps from GE sourcing team?

Hey, so I was in the process for GE sourcing summer analyst roles at multiple firms like Battery or PSG or Summit/TA and I wanted to know potential exit opps for this type of role. I was late to banking recruitment so I did not do IB recruitment but I am in the midst of applying to some GE/PE firms that are still open and did some hirevues and interview prep. If I do land a role on their sourcing summer analyst team for my junior year summer... what are potential exit opportunities like?

Could I go back into Investment Banking by studying up on technicals if I wanted to... or could I lock into recruiting for other MM PE firms...? or study up on LBOs... technicals... excel... and eventually land an investment team side role at another PE/GE firm or rank up at my own firm...? Especially if it was a firm like PSG Equity or Battery Ventures or Summit?
