Finance Jobs with Travel? Besides Consulting?
Hi everyone,
I was interested if anyone had any insight on which jobs in finance have good travel perks, ideally every month besides consulting. I've always loved travelling and l have decided against going into consulting, so l was wondering if any of you have found roles, perhaps in PE, HF, IB, AM that have business travel. Interested in hearing everyone's input on what different roles have for travel, and if some never travel (I assume IB).
Side Note: it would be great to note what region you most frequently travel, whether it's in the same country, outside or international.
I really appreciate everyone's time to make a response, thanks!
PE and IB travel a ton, but generally at the VP+ levels. At the junior levels, I found I travelled more in PE than IB
Oh l had no idea haha. I thought most bankers would be glued to their desks but since they do travel, is it mostly inner country travel for deals and meeting with clients?
Yes at the senior levels. Travels for sourcing, pitching and meeting clients. For senior PE it’s for sourcing, mgmt meetings, and portfolio board meetings. Yes it is usually domestic travel.
