From NYC to London to land MF?
Is it any easier for a NYC BB analyst to land MF in London compared to NYC? Would I be better off trying to land an offer from a MF's London office and then trying to transfer to NYC after a few years or gunning for UMM in NYC? My end goal is to join a NYC based HF and although I have the profile to join a big fund in New York, the amount of luck involved in the process makes me wonder if only aiming for NYC would be too optimistic
What makes you think London is any less competitive than NYC?
You are competing with talent from all of Europe, not to mention that to land a MF you need European languages
Im not assuming anything, hence the question
Typical yankee mindset. To make it even funnier I guess you only speak english, right?
