Getting the VP promote in PE

It’s difficult to find information on what it’s like to get from MFPE associate to VP. I’m starting soon as an associate and don’t know what to expect.

Any input from people who’ve been in my shoes? Do many people choose to leave after their 2 years, or is it another improbable rat race to get the promote? I wish I could just be excited to join, but I’m starting to feel like this is the start of another painful interview process...

  1. Rat race for business school, lateral, and least probably, internal promote.
