Growth Arms - Top VCs
Curious if anyone had info on working at a growth arm of a top VC. Recently came across Sequoia's page and saw they had a team dedicated to Growth.
Do any other top VCs have dedicated teams like Sequoia? I was also interested to know anything about comp/progression/exits/wlb - particularly at the junior level. Lastly, any general thoughts on whether it'd be an overall good gig, or would you pass on these types of roles?

Heard that VC isn't worth it from a comp perspective unless you are switching over at the Partner level. Wanted to know if the comp is also substantially lower at VC Growth teams - at the junior level.
Very few people would pass up that opportunity. It’s a great name on the resume that’ll get you in at most places, but yes, buyout comp is higher
Know someone at Sequoia growth, he gets rocked on the reg but you obviously stay in that job as long as you can
He gets rocked.. hours? Have you ever heard from them about comp and / or recruiting?
no they just walk over to your desk and punch you right in the face
Does anybody have insight on whether or not other reputable VCs have dedicated GE teams? Thanks in advance.
