GS MBD London Culture / Working Hours / Overview

Hello everyone,

Seen a couple of posts about the GS MBD team on this site for London. Got an offer to join as an Associate in both the PE and Private Credit teams. Specifically interested in learning about:

Working hours (assuming shorter than IBD, but approx. 9-11PM and some weekend work?)

Culture (from interviews it seemed pretty good, some competitive and posh Europeans, but overall pretty good and better than US MFs that I've interviewed at).

Promotion / job loss rate: do they convert most analyst to associates to VPs?

Fund performance: to me, their credit business seems better than the PE business. Most PE portfolio companies I've never heard of, or the deals are very secretive.

WFH possibility: assuming it's impossible but just wanted to ask as didn't ask in interview and awaiting contract.

Thanks guys and gals

Benjo

Wonder how you could work for PE & PC at the same time? completely 2 teams though? Or they offered you both and you shall choose one?

Heard that PE team has a super high turnover rate and top-heavy - also lots of nepotism going on. No clues about their PC team
