Both are great shops with recent strong fundraising momentum and top-quartile returns throughout. Both on the leaner side (particularly H&F). Key difference as funds would be focus on more traditional / old-school sectors for CD&R vs. more growthier stuff for H&F - although obviously overlap on both ends.

 

Really? I can see loads of good arguments for both. Depends on what kind of investing you enjoy more. For what it’s worth I’d pick CD&R but I also recognise that’s entirely based on personal preference.

 

Fair enough - my bias as a growthier investor is likely showing here.

 

But isn't H&F mostly focused on tech while CD&R is more diversified?
