Trying to understand total compensation for MM PE in London. I have found it very difficult to obtain compensation figures for MM PE.
What is the typical % of total carry that is allocated to different investment professionals, from Associates to Partners?
Typical base / cash bonus / carry for Associates and how this increases with seniority?

it depends on specific fund. There are MM funds, where long term comp/ carry potential is in line with MFs, and there are some MM funds where comp is just terrible (most of UK MMs, places like 3i, Inflexion etc.)
What is inflexion comp like?
~£90k ish on base. Unsure on bonus
Which MM funds pay carry in line with MFs?
Usual Comp for MF is around base +100% bonus 100-120k GBP, MM around 75-95 GBP (funds like Bowmark, Oakley, Inflexion, Charterhouse)
Could you please opine more on bonus range for Bowmark, Oakley etc.?
Charterhouse pays 85+85, Montagu 80+80

In the MM team of a U.S. MF with GBP 95 base + 100% bonus. Team is small so hopefully will be a lot of carry to go around. From what I’ve seen American funds pay way more than U.K. based ones. Also if for whatever reason I don’t like it and want to go somewhere else I suspect the branding I have will carry a lot of weight.
This is obviously a world away from a BC Partners or a Duke Street, or even god forbid a Terra Firma. Like anything else career related, doing your DD and having broader conversations with people in the industry pays huge dividends especially given how much variety there is in the MM space.
which US MF has a MM team? dont know any to be honest. Also, what do you mean away from BC and Duke Street? BC failed at fundraising, Duke Street is not raising new fund
