How to answer the 'why IB' question as an incoming private equity intern?

Currently a sophomore going through junior year IB recruiting, and my sophomore summer internship is at a private equity firm.

Any suggestions on how to answer the inevitable "why IB" and "why not PE instead" questions? And to hopefully not trigger the "nope they're leaving us in 2 years to sell out to PE"

As a sophomore you're not in a position to be extremely picky with internships, and the PE internship that you were fortunate to land was good first exposure into  finance. You enjoyed your experience getting to see multiple deal processes, exposure to portfolio companies, and some interesting industries. You think this internship will prepare you well for a role in IB, which you are interested in because of: x y z.

I would frame it like that.
