How to leverage one offer to get another off cycle
Hi Everyone, I am currently in the late stages (no offer in hand) of a process with a firm that has a great brand name, but it is not the location I’m hoping for. Obviously during fast-moving on-cycle processes one can quickly leverage an offer from one place to try and accelerate at another, but has anyone done this for off cycle? How to best go about doing that?
Did this. Had some sort of dialogue w/ the fund I was more interested in. Emailed them, said I was getting pressured, asked to accelerate, did their process quickly, got the offer.
Was this through a headhunter?
Nah. Reached out directly and went around the HHs.
