IBD in NYC —> PE in London?
Hey WSO,
I am currently a 2nd year analyst at a top BB (GS/MS), staying for a 3rd year as of now.
My current role is based in NYC; however, I am very interested in recruiting for a London-based PE fund.
Can anyone here comment on what this process would look like? i.e., where do I find the recruiters to reach out to, how early do I initiate the process, how feasible it is as a non-UK citizen?
Thanks in advance!
Hi Analyst 1 in IB - Gen, hope I can help. Do any of these links cover what you're looking for:

Am very junior but have worked in both, feel free to PM me
following. the dream about be NYC IB -> Paris PE (same comp level as US or slight discount).
Be prepared for comp cut.
Work at a MF in London where we regularly recruit new associates out of the US.
Generally speaking, London PE recruiting is run by a few recruiters (Dartmouth, Walker Hamill, Kea, PER etc.) so would reach out to people there for starters.
Feel free to DM for more info.
Why not source from within Europe?
