London PE — what’s it like??

Curious what MF life is like at the London spots (eg Advent, H&F London offices).

Are they structured as 2 and out programs? Have as strong placement to HSW? What do people usually do after leaving — similar to the US?

Additionally, if an American were to move there, how feasible is it to come back to a job state side (ie New York)?

From old threads it looks like advent London pays ~350? How feasible for an American who went to a MF in London to come back to US?

Advent pays 110 + 120% for first year, 115 + 120%, 120+120% for A1, A2, and A3 in GBP. Think they might give deal bonuses on top if you sell or close a transaction. Pay is on the lower side but the upside is quite material if you make Principal as they have a strong performance and DPI and while their carry waterfall is European they do not have a hurdle on it. They are decently ok at promoting to Principal too (would estimate about 40-50% of a class makes it). This is all info as of 23/24

No clue about US/Europe but I have to say moving roles at the MF level across firms or geographies is very tough in this market so I wouldn’t count on it.
