MF Analyst, one more H1B Shot, next steps?

Hi everyone,
Started a MF analyst program in July. My firm applied for H1b during senior year, but I did not win the lottery. Now, I have just one more shot at it next year. Anyone knows if most MF transfer you to the London office (firm is very global) in case the lottery goes bad again? I heard some people get MF offers with the option to start in London if they don't win H1B in their banking analyst years but not sure if this is true. Really worried right now and wondering if anyone knows if PE firms are more willing to transfer you compared to IB firms. Does anyone have experience with it?
In case I don't win the lottery, will I just be fired? I can't imagine working this hard to get this role and then having to go back to my country without a job :(

Wanted to have an idea of the situation/hear other people experience before speaking directly

It’s better to have a conversation with your line manager re: either transferring next year or potentially starting your green card process early
