MF/UMM Associate Comp
Curious what current MF and UMM PE Associate comp is, seems like the numbers in the comp database aren't the most to date and quite frankly i'm bored and interested.

300k+ (150 base, 150 bonus)
I'll say 275-325 1st year. 300-350 second year. Some outliers but that's a decent range. I would optimize for promotion conversion % (current vps who were associates, # of assoc promoted per class etc.) more than anything though. You will become wealthy in this industry if you just last. That should be your key selection criteria not 25k here and there.
How is that something you'd figure out? Networking? LindkedIn? Headhunter?

Is this first full year or stub? Meaning you join in August and get a stubbed bonus and then your full first year starts the following year.
I received a summer cycle bonus. It’s a good question I’m not sure what most firms do tbh.
As far as promotion likelihood.
1) ask hhs 2) ask firms in your interviews (word appropriately) 3) check VP backgrounds
The above should give you some idea. All firms will say they promote, need to really test that statement
My program is also a 2 year August to August program, with bonus paid out each August. I think the idea is kids end their Banking stint in July, do two years of PE, then head to B School in the fall so keeping the 'school year' calendar makes sense
