I'll say 275-325 1st year. 300-350 second year. Some outliers but that's a decent range. I would optimize for promotion conversion % (current vps who were associates, # of assoc promoted per class etc.) more than anything though. You will become wealthy in this industry if you just last. That should be your key selection criteria not 25k here and there.

 

I received a summer cycle bonus. It’s a good question I’m not sure what most firms do tbh.

As far as promotion likelihood.

1) ask hhs 2) ask firms in your interviews (word appropriately) 3) check VP backgrounds

The above should give you some idea. All firms will say they promote, need to really test that statement
