Neuberger Berman PIPCO NYC

A lot of different threads on NB on here which makes using the search bar a bit difficult even with " " etc... I am about to start a lateral process with NB PIPCO, first thing looks like a phone screen 10-30 ish min, so I assume its more of a fit and feel question, but wanted to get any intel on the process, the group, comp, deal flow, is it mostly co-investing/ primary fund investments? Work life balance? I am not really looking for exit opps anymore I feel like wherever I go next is going to be a long term thing 10 years type of gig.

They are a very well respected player in the primary and co-invest space. On the funds side, they are backing many of the top GPs, from venture and growth to small & mid cap to large cap. Among primary investors, they are among the most active. On the co-invest side, they have the ability to co-underwrite alongside some of the top GPs and write multi-hundred million dollar checks. Any top-tier GP will know NB very well. Time spent is generally pretty balanced between primaries and co-invests. I have a close connection that works there and describes the work life balance as generally pretty well balanced, but large and complex co-underwrites can lead to late nights. Don’t have a strong sense of comp but my assumption is that they are in line with some of the larger scale FoF players.
