Off cycle recruitment

Hey if anyone has some insight, I would really appreciate some advice. Quick back ground: I have been on the job for ~3mo at a MM bank (PS/RayJ/Linc). I’m American but attended a top 3 overall university in the United Kingdom and want to move to London permanently.

On cycle recruitment is beginning now and I certainly would not want to lock myself into a US roll that begins in 2 years. Would moving to a better bank and then recruiting off cycle for London shops be the smartest move? Can you on cycle recruit for UK shops as an American? Has anyone made this move before?

Any advice regarding my situation would be extremely helpful, thanks.
