PE > Corp Dev

End of associate stint and no path up and am considering options. Really struggling if I want to try and continue and find another firm or move to corporate venture/development group.

Looking for some advice from folks who have made that move and any thoughts on things to look out for.

In my eyes a worst case scenario would be to land at a company that has Corp dev but for one reason or another it’s extremely difficult to get a deal done (build vs buy culture, capital availability, only wanting to do a perfect deal, cheap).
