PE Infra recruiting steps? Help for someone new in the market

Hi,

I am new in all the matters related to PE recruiting in the US. I would like some help with some questions.

1. When does the cycle for PE Infra starts?

2. How can I get in the process once it starts?

3. When should I start networking?

4. For MF, is it important to network, or do team members not decide who will be invited to the first rounds?

I will try to get an Associate position, but information about an Analyst position would also be helpful
