PE / Infra Shops that have an analyst program in London
Does anyone have a list of PE / Infra shops that have analyst programs in London?
Would appreciate any advice on how to land an analyst role at one of the large / MM shops. For some context, I graduated from a top tier American university (undergrad in finance) but now looking to relocate to London. It looks like a lot of Brits / Europeans get their masters right after undergrad - would these analyst programs look for candidates who have both a bachelors + masters, or would a 4 year undergrad be sufficient? I also have roughly 1 year of internship experience at a large MF, but this was in NY.
Would appreciate any advice and guidance on how to approach analyst programs in London.
Based on the most helpful WSO content, very few PE or Infra funds in London have structured analyst programs. Most funds prefer candidates with 2-3 years of experience, typically from investment banking or consulting, as these firms are leanly staffed and require hires who can contribute immediately without extensive training. However, there are exceptions, as some funds do have analyst programs.
To address your specific questions: 1. PE/Infra Shops with Analyst Programs in London: While not exhaustive, some funds with analyst programs include: - Blackstone (select programs) - KKR (occasionally hires analysts) - Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) (known for hiring analysts) - Brookfield Asset Management (infrastructure focus) - Partners Group (sometimes hires analysts in London)
Educational Background: A 4-year undergraduate degree from a top-tier American university is generally sufficient for these roles, especially if paired with relevant internship experience. While many Europeans pursue a master's degree after their bachelor's, this is not a strict requirement for analyst programs, particularly for candidates with strong academic and internship credentials like yours.
