PE to IB (Undergrad)

Was wondering if anyone has experience going from PE to IB after completing a junior summer internship in private equity? I'm starting my junior internship at a credit/infrastructure/real estate PE MF in a couple of weeks and am worried I may end up not liking it (my previous intern experience is in boutique ib, which I really enjoyed and always thought I would be doing after grad.)

I worked really hard to land my PE offer (think BX, KKR, Oaktree type firm) and chose it over banking since my group for this summer would be an ideal exit op from a top IB group. (Why not skip a step..). Now I'm getting cold feet and thinking I want the experience of a large analyst class/training program, not to mention I have no experience in PE so I can't be totally sure I'll like it.

If this summer doesn't feel like the right fit, would it be realistic to re-recruit and get a FT offer in great BB/EB banking group?
