£100k signing bonus for Associate 1 London

Hey,

Just heard a connection got an offer from KKR in credit (London)

£110k + 90% bonus + £30k shares - I would call it market but ...

£100k signing bonus?! Is that common? Never heard that before - She's currently Associate 1 (max. 2) at a fund (less prestigious, smaller aum etc...)

Bullsh*t? Friend said it's because she's a girl ahah

I mean if they need to buy out her previous bonus that would be the only driver. That and she managed to play two offers against each other (which is way more probable if you are a girl). But being solely a girl wouldn't work, we haven't gotten to that stage yet.

I have never heard 100k though, most I have heard is 20k (excl. bonus buyback) or just bonus buyback.
