Route to Private Equity
Hello Wall Street Oasis,
I'm a student at Georgetown University who wants to break into private equity straight out of college, however, I know this is quite difficult. I also know I don't want to go through the traditional investment banking route, so I am looking for alternative ways to enter pe. Would it would be possible to start with pe due diligence consulting right out of college, then make a transition into private equity? Would it be smart to do so, or is there a better option for me?
Thanks.
So you want to have a career in private equity without taking the prerequisite coursework to get such career?
Just out of curiosity why is it that you want to go into PE, but don't want to start with investment banking? And even more curious, why do you think that due diligence consulting is a more worthwhile pursuit?
