Senior Associate Comp
Received an offer for a Senior Associate position at a MM fund non-NYC/SF, ~3bn fund size, 140 base, 100-120% bonus, no carry. Does this sound fair to you fellow monkeys?

Feels a little low unless it’s in a lower CoL than Chicago as an example
I really hate the senior associate title because it’s so unclear what it actually means. If you’ve done just two years as an associate elsewhere and this is viewed as a relatively junior role, then seems fine but if you’re post MBA partner track than a little low (and should include carry).
Doesn't sound crazy for first year senior associate (after 2 years associate). If you're post-MBA, then it'd feel a little light, especially with no carry.
Definitely light IMO given the fund size. For reference, im at a slightly larger than $1B fund size firm and senior associate 1 total comp is $350K.
Sounds a bit light, recent comps I've seen for MM/UMM would be 350-400 for a first year senior associate (assuming 2 years already as associate and 2 years as an analyst elsewhere)
What’s your source? For MM / UMM I’ve been seeing more like 250 - 325
Work at one and have friends in similar shops. Those are like first year associate numbers
Just adding another datapoint - Sr. Associates at my fund are $450K all-in. Latest fund is in the $2-3B range, but currently raising in $4-5B range. Non-NYC. Sr. Associate role is more VP-lite position and is partner track. No carry though.
