Starting Early in IB/PE

I graduated high school just last week and from now until the end of August, when I head on to a target school in the US, I'm free and looking to prep myself for a future career in finance.

Unlike past summers when I've mostly just lazed around, I plan to get an unpaid internship at a financial institution for the experience this year. To do this, I've collated a list of ~150 financial institutions (boutiques, search funds, PWM firms, etc.)  based in Toronto, Canada. Furthermore, I've built and have been adding to an Excel spreadsheet where I track my networking, whether for an opportunity now or a few years later.

Aside from cold emailing, what next steps might I take now that I've finished the "data collection" stage? Any advice for getting an unpaid internship that's somewhat related to IB?
