SWF based in the Gulf - how easy is it to come back to the UK / US?

Hi all,

I have heard of people moving to PE funds & SWFs based in cities in the Gulf (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Manama, Doha, etc.).

I was wondering how easy (or indeed not!) It is to move back to the UK and US to work for similar funds. Is it hard? It would be difficult to network with such professionals in the West, since getting coffee etc. would be impossible. This means networking would be only through email and perhaps Skype calls.

Can anyone shed any light on this? Thank you!
