TA London Culture
Anyone has an insight how is the culture at TA London? Better / worse than MF? Heard lots of good stuff except for super long hours. Would be good to validate the rumours.

bump
Atleast in US TA is very sourcing heavy so going to be distinct experience hard to compare to more standard buyout shop (MF or otherwise)
Been described to me as 9-5 is for sourcing, you do your work thereafter. So expect long hours. Comp is good apparently (nothing outstanding but in line with peers), and performance is very good. There is also quite a bit of travel from what I have been told - some people like it and others cannot hack it.
Thank you - this is helpful. Sounds quite marmite.
People I have interacted with (briefly) there seem nice and quite switched on, so culture seems OK in that respect.
I think that’s the case at most growthy shops where people tend to be more sociable and nice.
Can you give further details on comp? Was guided to Associate GBP 220-250k all-in, VP GBP 350-400 all-in.
Push for comp, dealflow
Dealflow is extreme to the point where there has a been a couple of people who declined offers for Associate positions in London over the last couple of months
