How do you interpret Private Equity awards or rank lists from websites like GCI, BluWave, PEI, BuyoutsInsider, etc.? Have seen these sort of ranks frequently and was curious if they are more of a marketing scheme for PE firms or carry real weight across the PE community. Additionally, I think it would be helpful to understand this in the context of LMM - MM firms that do not have the same longstanding reputation of a MF.
