Transaction Experience After Signing On-Cycle
Currently an An1 in M&A at an EB. Was fortunate enough to receive an MF offer on-cycle.
How important is your transaction experience for the two years before you move to PE? Obviously I want to get good reps and learn as much as I can so I can be successful at the PE fund, so not asking about how important it is for the learning experience, but more so how important it is to get "good staffings" (i.e. high profile, multi-billion dollar transactions) perceptually to the fund. Would they look down on an Analyst if they don't get good staffings before making the move? Have funds ever rescinded offers because of a lack of high profile transactions?
Doubt this is a serious question... but nobody is going to look down / rescind an offer due to lack of high profile transactions...
