(Virtual) coffee chats ahead of the internship

I’m looking for advice. This summer I’ll be interning at a PE firm in London (one month to go), and I’m wondering whether it would be a good idea to reach out to a few analysts or associates beforehand to introduce myself and get to know the team. Would that come across as too pushy or like I’m brown-nosing? My intention would be to ask what they’re working on, what deals are in the pipeline, and for any tips on how to make the most of the experience.

These would all be video chats as I am non-UK and can't get a real coffee.

Depends on the culture of the team tbh. I know I spoke to a few of first years before I hit the desk (but my group has a pretty open / friendly culture).
