Among the top PE firms known to have better culture (Bain, Berkshire, Advent, etc.), what do weekends tend to look like? How many hours of work is normal and do you ever get days off?

Live deal all bets are off
What percent of time will you be on a live deal? And what do things look like when you are not on one?
I just started PE in August but 30% of time is norm at my fund. Hours range from 65-75 when not on one
Live deals are 24/7. Some deals could be months others are quick to signing and close. Other than that it depends. Some funds have like 0 thesis work so you do nothing / maybe some outside in work. Other funds are fully deployed all the time
