What are my chances at MF PE On-Cycle?

Would love to get some opinions from people familiar with MFPE on cycle recruiting for firms like (BXKKR, APO, WP, SL, VISTA, TPG, etc)
Stats:
- Incoming AN1 at Top BB (GS / MS), mid group
- Low Semi / non target
- Male URM (Hispanic)
- 3.8+ GPA
- 1500 SAT
- Solid EC's, nothing crazy
Would really appreciate blunt / honest feedback. Ideally would love to target APO/ BX/ KKR / WP but not sure how feasible that is especially because of school name. Thanks all

School, GPA, etc. matters far far less once you get to your top BB job. In general, that's enough to get your foot in the door, and then it's up to you to do well during the process. Any concerns about your raw IQ / academic performance based on school name should be put to rest with that GPA & SAT (good friend of mine at one of the MFs you mentioned came from an absolute non-target).

Being diversity will help at the publically traded MFs. More people are going A2A or off-cycle now that banking pay has bumped up so seems like current first years did v well recruiting.

Referrals from seniors if they like you + are supportive of recruiting and working on large, interesting deals will be the biggest way you can move the needle (deal experience matters several times more than GPA, school, ECs, etc), but TLDR is that you'd definitely get interviews & be competitive at any MF PE
